Walker honored with MUTH award
The Robert and Patricia Muth Excellence in Leadership Award was started in 1988 by Robert and Patricia Muth. The purpose of the award is to recognize Middle Cities Education Association schools that have demonstrated leadership in school improvement, specifically improvements that reflect gains in student achievement. Many schools can enter, but there are some years that no schools are awarded. For the 2010-2011 school year, Walker was one of two schools in Michigan that won. Walker will receive $1,500, a special plaque, and our school improvement team will attend a special award ceremony in Lansing this coming September.
